Shatrujeet Singh Kapoor, IPS of 1990 batch succeeds PK Agarwal as Haryana DGP. PK Aggarwal retired on August 15,2023.

Shatrujeet Singh Kapoor, who was posted as DG, Vigilance, was the frontrunner for the post as he enjoy the confidence of Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar.
Kapoor remained DG (prisons) and principal secretary (transport).
