Haryana’s school students will be shown Shaheedi Smarak after its inauguration: Anil Vij

Haryana’s Energy, Transport and Labour Minister  Anil Vij said a hydraulic vertical lift with a seating capacity of 40 people has been installed in the museum of Shaheedi Smarak being built in Ambala. Selfie points have been made at many places at the memorial. The government is planning that after the inauguration of this international level memorial, the students studying from Class 6 to 12 will be shown this memorial as per the roster of the schools, so that they can also know the history of the first war of independence of 1857.

Vij said this while inspecting the memorial being built on GT Road today in the memory of the martyrs of the country’s first freedom struggle in 1857.

Anil Vij inspected various art and digital galleries being built in the museum. He told the officials and agency representatives to get this work done here at a fast pace and ensure that the work related to each gallery and hall is completed. While talking to the journalists,  Anil Vij said work is being done at a fast pace at the Shaheedi Smarak and around 150 artists, employees, officers are engaged here.

He said the first war of independence was fought in 1857, about which the common people do not know. So we want to show them that the passion to get freedom had started much before the birth of Congress. So many people sacrificed and became martyrs. The queen of Jhansi, Tatya Tope and the infantry fought at various places.

The Cabinet Minister also held a meeting with departmental officials and construction agency staff after inspection at the memorial. He gave directions to issue tender for hiring of guides, to improve landscaping, to issue tender for parking, to take any weapons from the Army from the year 1857 for display, along with other directions.
