Sometimes a leader says something without realizing its consequences in future. They realize it after everything finishes.
It seems this has proved right in the debacle of shiromani akali dal, Parkash Singh Badal, Sukhbir Singh Badal, Bikram Singh Majithia, Capt Amarinder Singh etc.
Recently, Harsimrat Kaur Badal had said, after his brother Bikram Singh Majithia was sent to jail “ jihna ne siyasat khedi hai, aaj Guru Ram Dass ji de charna vich benti hai ki uhna da vi khakh na rahe ,sab ton vadi adalt uhna di haggi, jithon kuch chupiya, lukiya nahin hegga. Koi case lamba nahin chalda te je siyasat vaste kitti hai tan 10 march dur nahin hai ,malik kirpa karan , dudh da dudh te pani da pani ho javega.”
This election has fulfilled Harsimrat words that he who so ever made a vendetta politics, did wrong on bargari issue, selling drugs must lose everything.
Today’s results have proved this. Shiromani akali dal, Parkash Singh Badal, Sukhbir Singh Badal, Bikram Singh Majithia along with top leaders have lost their seats. This is the worst ever performance of akalis, in their 100 years of history.
On the other hand Capt Amarinder Singh swore by Shri Gutka Sahib that he will end all woes , end drug menace of Punjab after becoming the chief minister of Punjab in 2017 elections. Amarinder took a pledge at a rally in Bathinda to wipe out the scourge of drugs from the state in four weeks. As drug overdose is suspected behind back-to-back deaths across the state in the past few days, demand is being raised by a section, particularly the Akalis, that Captain did not deliver the promise, which is desecration of gurbani.
