Heartrending scenes at the residence of martyr Naik Subedar Mandeep Singh

Heartrending scenes were witnessed at the Katcha residence of an Indian soldier, Naik Sudedar Mandeep Singh, who is the only earning member of the family, got martyrdom at line of actual control (LAC), at China border.
An inconsolable mother Shakuntla of around 70 years of age, a shaken wife Gurdeep kaur, a terribly upset daughter Mehakpreet kaur of 17 years and Son Jobanpreet Singh of 11 years , shocked villagers of Naik Subedar Mandeep Singh of Indian Army, who got martyrdom while fighting with Chinese infiltrators, is a view of village seel, around 15 kms from Patiala district headquarters, situated on Bahdurgarh-Ghanour road.
“ Naik Subedar Mandeep Singh,39 years Gunner instructor with 3 Medium Artillery regiment is amongst the army man who got martyrdom at Galwan Valley ,China border in Ladakh sector. He got commissioned in 1997 in the Indian Army, after passing matriculation. He was an intelligent boy of the village and studied further, while serving the country” said his cousin Capt. Nirmal Singh (retd.)
His family got this unfortunate news, today afternoon, when media and district administration start visiting martyrs house. Army officials first contacted his cousin Capt. Nirmal Singh, who recently retired from Indian Army.
As per villagers Nk. Sub Mandeep Singh, came to his residence for his two months leave and got stuck at village due to curfew, lockdown. Around 15 days ago he left for Ladakh to join his regiment.
Around 5-6 back he had his last telephonic conversation with his family and he informed his family. The family was excited, as his regiment is coming back in Punjab, next month. But God has some other plans.

Deputy Commissioner Patiala Kumar Amit along with SSP Patiala Mandeep Singh Sidhu also visited the grieved family.
Today morning the Indian Army released the names of 20 of its personnel who made the ultimate sacrifice during violent face-off with China in Galwan Valley on Monday night (15 June). Here are their names, ranks and hometown:
