Heavy rush for Admission seekers in B.Tech at GNDU
Amritsar-A three day Centralized counseling for B.Tech. Courses on the basis of All India Rank JEE (Main)-2018, started at Guru Nanak Dev Univerisity main Campus on 18th June has received a tremendous response this year.
The third day of the counseling for general category ended here today in the Maharaja Ranjit Singh Bhawan of the university. Admissions for various courses including Computer Science Engineering (CSE) , Electronics Communication Engineering (ECE) , Food Technology, Civil Engineering and Mechanical Engineering were carried out. Till date CSE and ECE seats of the main campus as well as the Regional Campus Jalandhar are filled. Also Civil Engineering and Mechanical Engineering which were earlier available at Sathiala Campus only is now started at the main campus too is getting a warm response.
According to Dr. Sandeep Sharma, Co-ordinator, this year’s merit of JEE (Main) was started with 16000 rank and ended with 1 lac 40 thousand for CSE course. Last year this meirt was ended with the merit of 2 lac for the same course. The three day counseling for the reserved Category will commend tomorrow i.e. on 21st June. “It is expected that the seats for General category will fill today” he added.
