In a humble tribute to the unparalleled sacrifice and spiritual legacy of the Ninth Sikh Guru, Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib Ji, a sacred pictorial book titled “Spiritual Journey of Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib – A Pictorial Depiction” was today presented at the historic Gurdwara Takht Sri Kesgarh Sahib, Sri Anandpur Sahib.

The presentation ceremony was graced by State Information Commissioner, Punjab, Harpreet Sandhu, who is also the author of the book. The pictorial compilation has been dedicated to commemorate the 350th Martyrdom Year of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib Ji and showcases, through captivating visuals, the sacred shrines and historical places where Guru Sahib left His divine footprints—from His birth to His supreme martyrdom.

While presenting the book, Harpreet Sandhu shared that the compilation aims to serve as a visual pilgrimage, inspiring the younger generation to connect with the rich spiritual and historical heritage of Sikhism. The book provides an enlightening narrative of Guru Sahib’s travels, divine teachings, and His message of peace, harmony, and protection of religious freedom for all.

The book, “Spiritual Journey of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib”, combines rare and artistically captured photographs with concise historical references, offering readers an insightful journey into the life and philosophy of the Ninth Sikh Guru. It evokes deep reverence towards Guru Sahib’s timeless message of universal brotherhood, compassion, and selfless sacrifice.

A set of books was also presented for the library of Gurudwara Takht Sri Kesgarh Sahib as a mark of devotion and in remembrance of Guru Sahib’s supreme sacrifice for humanity.

It is noteworthy that this pious book was formally released on July 22, 2025, by the Governor of Punjab at Punjab Raj Bhawan, Chandigarh. Since its release, the book has received appreciation for its scholarly value and spiritual depth, serving as a valuable contribution to the ongoing efforts of the Punjab Government to preserve and promote Sikh heritage and culture.
