As part of the series of events dedicated to the 350th Martyrdom Anniversary of Hind Di Chadar, Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji, the Punjab Government organized a magnificent Light and Sound Show titled ‘Hind Di Chadar’ at Polo Ground, Patiala. The presentation, based on Guru Sahib’s life, philosophy and supreme sacrifice, left the audience deeply emotional.

The show depicted the voice of truth, justice and human rights raised by Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji along with his devoted Sikhs — Bhai Mati Das Ji, Bhai Sati Das Ji and Bhai Dayala Ji — who attained martyrdom at Chandni Chowk, Delhi, 350 years ago. The narration, built around the immortal verse “Tilak Janju Rakha Prabh Ta Ka, Keeno Bado Kalu Mehak Saka”, was showcased through an impressive digital presentation.

Adding a traditional touch, Dhadi Jatha Of Sukhdev Singh Booh performed Vaaran narrating the martyrdom episode, while the congregation reverberated the venue with Jaikaras of “Dhan Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji”.

Punjab Health and Family Welfare Minister Dr. Balbir Singh said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, the state government is celebrating the 350th Martyrdom Anniversary of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji with full devotion and grandeur. This 45-minute Light and Sound Show, he said, digitally brings alive Guru Sahib’s message of peace, courage, and protection of human rights.

Dr. Balbir Singh said the unparalleled martyrdom of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji was not for any single religion but for the dignity and fundamental rights of all humanity. He added that the Punjab Government aims to spread Guru Sahib’s legacy to every household so that the younger generation may draw inspiration from his teachings.
