IAS Transfer: Director Mines and Geology transferred in Punjab

Punjab government has transferred Abhijeet Kaplish, IAS, Director, Mines and Geology and in addition secretary, Punjab Development Commission and posted him as Deputy Commissioner, Sri Muktsar Sahib in place of Rajesh Tripathi, IAS.
Tripathi is supended by the state government on corruption charges.
Rajesh Tripathi, IAS, Deputy Commissioner Sri Muktsar Sahib has been removed from his post and a Vigilance enquiry has been marked against him. This reflects the unwavering commitment of the Punjab government to ensure full transparency, accountability and integrity in public service delivery. As corrupt practices undermine public trust, weaken institutions and hinder state’s growth, hence top priority is being accorded to check this menace.
