IIT and Govt College Rupnagar Sign MoU in area of teaching, learning, skill and faculty development

Government College Ropar on Saturday signed a MoU with Indian Institute of Technology (IIT),Ropar will help the Govt College in the area of teaching and learning , entrepreneurship, skill development, and faculty development.
Speaking on the occasion of Annual prize distribution day at auditorium of Govt. College, IIT Rupnagar Director, Professor Rajiv Ahuja said that the proposed cooperation will be manifested in the framework of social scientific and institute entrepreneurship responsibility under which workshops on advancements in science and technology and entrepreneurship, Expert Lectures/ Seminars/Talks by the IIT Ropar faculty members will be organised for the guidance of students.
He further said that experts of IIT will assist the students for inculcating them in the startup eco-system through pollination and incubation at IIT Ropar-TBIF.
Pointing out activities being done for students of Govt College, Professor Ahuja said that practical training/lab visits for science & technology students and skill development of students of Government College Rupnagar through various training programs have been organized at IIT Ropar time – to – time.
Principal, Govt. College Rupnagar Gurpreet Kaur said that it is matter of pride that our students will get the guidance of experts from IIT in various fields which will definitely prove helpful to achieve goals in the sector of technology sector. She said that today, 36 students have been awarded with Roll of Honour and cash reward who have got more than 80 percent in Annual University examination, Cultural Distinctions and Outstanding Sports achievements. 220 students have also been honoured for achieving first, second and third position in house examination.On this occasion,College council released the prospectus of session 2022-23
Sant Baba Avatar Singh ji from Gurdwara Head Darbaar Kot Puraan gave his blessings to the students and appealed them to work for the society and bring required change.Deputy Director Higher Education Dr Jaswinder Kaur congratulated the students for their outstanding achievements and felt proud of the students.

On this occasion Registrar University Exams Dr Harjus Kaur, Dr Kulbir Kaur, Dr Sukhjinder Kaur, Prof Meena, Dr Nirmal Singh, Dr Jatinder Kumar, Dr Dalvinder Singh, Prof Loveleen, Prof Natasha, Prof Arvinder Kaur and all staff members and students of Govt College were also present on occasion.
