IIT Ropar celebrated HINDI DIWAS, inaugurating the 15-Day Hindi Pakhwara

To commemorate the day India adopted Hindi as its official language, IIT Ropar observed Hindi Diwas today with great fanaticism and enthusiasm. The Director of the Institute, Prof. Sarit K Das inaugurated the event and 15-day Hindi Pakhwara with a message to IIT Ropar fraternity through video conferencing.
Referring to the ongoing fight against coronavirus, he said India has been successful in its fight against the pandemic and highlighted the importance of technology and Science during this pandemic and also explained how Science and Technology are not mere subjects of academics but also the saviours of human life.
While applauding the New Education Policy 2020, he said, “This policy provides parallel development of Hindi and other Indian languages.”
Divulging more, he added, “At IIT Ropar, we are taking take pioneering efforts to promote the Rajbhasha at national and international forums.”
IIT Ropar is organizing 15-day Hindi Pakhwara including various competitions including debates, quiz competitions, poetry recitation, essay competition etc. to promote Hindi in the Institute.
