Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Ropar has invited applications for admissions in  PhD (Research) for January 2019 session. Spokesman of the institute said that a candidate who has done BE / B.Tech / ME/ M.Tech / MA / M.Sc / Integrated BS-MS etc and curious or is passionate about research can apply. The applications are already open and the last date to apply is 24th October 2018. The  premier institute offers Regular PhD, Direct PhD, External PhD and part Time Phd. The Institute follows Govt. of India rules for reservation in these courses.

He further elaborated that IIT Ropar has invited applications for admission in Biomedical Engineering , Chemical  Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer  Science &Engineering, Electrical engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics, Humanities & Social Sciences. He said that Indian Institute of Technology, Ropar a premier institute has state-of-art research labs and lively ambiance.

Research awards are also in the programme to motivate the researcher for their good work. The researcher would get financial support from International conferences. The institute have Scholar exchange programme to exchange their thoughts and upgrade their knowledge. Institute also provides Hostel accommodation to its researchers.
