IIT Ropar organizes 7-Day training program on ‘Battery Storage, Green Hydrogen and New Energies’ for SJVN Executives

IIT Ropar, a premier institute of national importance, organized a 7-day residential Functional Development Program (FDP) for 15 senior executives of Satluj Jal Vidyut Nigam (SJVN) Limited from January 16th to January 23rd, 2024. The program focused on Battery Storage, Green Hydrogen, and New Energies and was conducted jointly by faculty members of IIT Ropar.
The SJVN executives were trained for 40 hours including 26 lecture hours and 14 laboratory hours. The program was designed to provide participants with a comprehensive understanding of the latest developments in the field of Battery Storage, Green Hydrogen, and New Energies. Each full day of the program consisted of approximately 6 hours of engagement, including both lecture and lab sessions.
The program was facilitated by the Office of Continuing Education and Outreach Activities at IIT Ropar. The SJVN executives were trained by IIT Ropar faculty members on green hydrogen, electrolyser design, techno-economic analysis, batteries, fuel cells, super capacitors, and new energy devices.
IIT Ropar faculties demonstrated various technology developments to the participants in the research labs. The success of this program is a testament to IIT Ropar’s commitment to providing high-quality educational programs to industry professionals. The institute’s expertise in these emerging areas has enabled it to offer cutting-edge training programs that meet the needs of industry partners like SJVN.
