After much dilly dallying, Congress high command today releases the first list of 86 candidates for the upcoming Punjab assembly elections.
In do or die situation Congress bets on new faces, old horses. Congress is going to contest on all 117 assembly seats. Ahead of the forthcoming Punjab assembly elections, Congress on Saturday issued its first list of candidates on 86 seats.
The Congress gave Moga assembly ticket to Malvika Sood, sister of Bollywood hero Sonu Sood, despite revolt by sitting MLA Harjot Kamal.
Congress also gave ticket to pollywood music sensation Sidhu Moosewala, despite revolt by local congress leaders. Even Nazar Singh Mansahia ,wrote a letter to Rahul Gandhi to not to gave ticket to Moosewala. In Patiala (rural) congress allotted party symbol to Mohit Mohindra son of veteran congress sitting MLA Brahm Mohindra.
