In public interest DC Patiala changes Isolation centre from Thapar to Meritorious School

Deputy commissioner Patiala has made changes in its earlier order dated 15-4-2020 which notify the Covid Care Centres in Patiala. In that order hostels of Thapar institute of engineering college Patiala were made first priority for Covid care centres along with the hostels of Rajiv Gandhi national law university, Punjabi University Patiala and Luxmi Bai Dental college hostels were made the covid care centres in Patiala.
But today deputy commissioner Patiala has made minor changes in his earlier orders and made Meritorious School, near Punjabi university Patiala as the first Covid care centres (CCC) , instead of hostels of Thapar institute of engineering college, which was earlier declared as the first CCC. As per the reason given by deputy commissioner Patiala to change the first covid care centre “ in public interest to provide relief to the residents of the district with effect from April,21,2020”.
News portal royalpatiala.in has already highlighted the making of Isolation centres in the heart of the city.

Also deputy commissioner has notified the guest houses of rajiv Gandhi National la University Patiala, Circuit House Patiala, PWD Guest house Patiala and Public Health guest house Patiala as the quarantine facility for key functionaries of Patiala administration.
As per the CCIC Guidelines at level-1 all patients having mild symptoms, such patients are to admitted at Covid Care Isolation Centres.
As per the guidelines at Level 2-all patients with mild to moderate symptoms, such patients are to treated at district hospitals / government isolation facilities.
As per the guidelines at Level 3-all the patients who are in critical condition and are to be refereed to ICU / HDU/ Ventilator facilities.
It further explained that only when the sample has been found positive , the patient should be brought to the CCIC to be kept under constant observation by trained health care professionals.
On public interest DC Patiala changes Isolation centre from Thapar to Meritorious School. Deputy commissioner Patiala Kumar Amit has also modified the Covid care Centre (CCC) Management committee, which was constituted on April, 15,2020. Preeti Yadav, additional deputy commissioner (development) is the nodal officer of this management committee ,with ten other members from different departments.
