In the field of drug manufacturing, India is the largest producing country in the world, every third drug in the world is made in India, said Dr Suresh Kumar Secretary Association of Pharmaceutical Teachers of India (APTI) Punjab. While sharing the information he said “their are immense career opportunities in the field of pharmacy”.
He has participated as the chief guest in the orientation program of the students organized at Rayat Institute of Pharmacy, Rail Majra. On this occasion, he answered the important questions asked by the students about the career in pharmacy and also shared tips.
During this, the director of the college Dr. N. S. Gill said that there are immense career opportunities in the field of pharmacy, after completing a degree in pharmacy, a student can work as a pharmacist, chemist, teacher, manufacturing, production, analyst, quality control and public medical stores and can work in private organizations, wholesale and retail, pharmacists are in high demand abroad and students with pharmacy degree have good salary package in pharmaceutical companies.
The college is approved by the Pharmacy Council of India(PCI). Institute’s Admission Coordinator Professor Narinder Bhumbla said that college has D.Pharmacy (2-year course), B Pharmacy (4-year course), M Pharmacy (2-year course) and B Pharmacy Practice (2-year course) are being conducted, in which admission is open to eligible students on vacant seats.
