International fest VIBGYOR-18 of BFGI started with a bang

The 6th International fest VIBGYOR-18 of BFGI in association with The Princeton Review and VIVO marked its opening with full excitement and enthusiasm. This much loved international fest which is a combination of technology, structure, culture and entertainment witnessed more than 50000 people on its first day. The fest was inaugurated by Sikander Singh Maluka (Ex Cabinet Minister, Govt. of Punjab) by lighting the lamp. Sarup Chand Singla (Ex MLA Bathinda, Govt. of Punjab) was the guest of honour of this fest.

In his welcoming speech, Dr. Gurmeet Singh Dhaliwal, Chairman BFGI thanked the guests for giving their valuable time to this organization and shared that the main focus of this fest is to provide the international level information about management and technology. He further added that this whole fest is one of the kind in the whole north India in which more than 175 student delegates from 22 countries have participated.

Maluka in his speech thanked BFGI for inviting to this international fest and congratulated Dr. Dhaliwal and his team for creating educational awareness in Malwa region. He praised Dr. Dhaliwal for his hard work and congratulated BFGI for its international achievements.

Under techno world, students from various colleges and universities participated in technical competitions like clash of robos, line follower, bridg-o-mania, robo race, cyclomania, greenovation, boat racing, aeromodelling, quadcopter, robo soccer, robo golf and project mania etc . These competitions were inaugurated by air commander Rajiva Ranjan VM from air force station Bhisiana. Apart from this, under the skill India development scheme of govt. of India, website development, I.T. software solutions for business, mech. Eng. Design, civil eng. Design, circuit designing, manufacturing master and mobile robotics skill competitions were conducted. In the same way, under magnet, various students participated in non-technical competitions like college roadies, fashionista, anchor hunt, biz craft, t-shirt painting etc. Apart from this, under Spectra, various students from school and colleges participated in vibgyor idol, dance on the beat, Nail art, turban tying and treasure hunt competitions.

Chief Guest of prize distribution ceremony, Ajaib Singh Bhatti (deputy speaker, Punjab legislative assembly) honored the students for their excellence in cultural and sports events and praised the whole team of BFGI for their efforts and added that he has never been to see festival like this.

More than 22 countries like Ausralia, China, Russia, Afghanistan, Brazil, Germany, Egypt etc. participated in global village event of VIBGYOR-18. The main attraction of this fest was the exhibition organized by Indian army and air force in which youngsters showed keen interest. The Princeton review stall was the major attraction for the students who were interested in going abroad. Martial art gatka thrilled the audience with its mind blowing stunts. Bike stunts also gathered the attention of audience and everybody was enjoying at this fest. In art gallery, beautiful creations made out of waste were not miss able. For the full enjoyment of audience, an amusement park was also established in which children and youngsters enjoyed various kinds of swings. Apart from this, people enjoyed numerous cuisines like chinese, south indian and Punjabi etc in food court.

International performances like Rwanda dance, Tanura dance, Nigerian dance and emirates cultural show on the main stage grabbed the attention of audience. In the end famous Punjabi singer gurnam bhullar and jimmy kotkapura thrilled the audience and made them dance on their beats for nearly more than 2 hours. It is news of immense pleasure that for the first in Punjab, famous Bollywood singer Neha Kakkar performed live. Apart from these famous Punjabi Singers Kulwinder Billa, Sunanda Sharma, Aamir Khan, Shivjot etc. also performed to entertain audience.
