IOC sponsored rooftop solar plant at civil hospital Sangrur inaugurated by Vijay Inder Singla

Punjab school education and PWD minister Vijay Inder Singla, on Tuesday, inaugurated the 105-kilowatt Rooftop Solar Plant here at Civil Hospital Sangrur. The plant came up with the cost of Rs. 50 lakh has been sponsored by the Indian Oil Corporation Limited under its CSR funds. While elaborating details of the project, the cabinet minister informed that the total load of the hospital is about 400 KW and after the installation of the Solar Rooftop plant, around 20 percent electricity charges will be reduced. He added that the production of green energy will also help in preserving the environment.

The cabinet minister said that the reforms introduced by the Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh led Punjab Government ensured the availability of quality services to the people of the state and improvement has also been visible on the ground level. He added that the overall development of Sangrur was also being ensured and it would be among one of the best constituencies of Punjab in terms of development. He said that a branch of Tata Memorial Centre and unit of PGI at Ghabdan, which were sanctioned by Dr. Manmohan Singh led union government, have also been providing better health facilities to patients.

He said that their government has also proposed to develop a medical college in Sangrur and required formalities are being completed for the same.

On this occasion, DC Ramvir, Executive Director IOCL SK Sur Chowdhury, ADC Anmol Singh Dhaliwal, Director Punjab Infotec Satish Kansal, Vice Chairman Mahesh Kumar Meshi, SDM Yashpal Sharma, Civil Surgeon Dr. Anjana Gupta, SMO Dr. Baljit Singh, Parminder Sharma, Sunita Sharma and other dignitaries were also present.
