Jagat Guru Nanak Dev Punjab State Open University organizes 5-day FDP on Artificial Intelligence

Jagat Guru Nanak Dev Punjab State Open University (JGND PSOU), Patiala in collaboration with TechSaksham, Microsoft, SAP and Edunet Foundation organised 5-day Faculty Development Program (FDP) on “Artificial Intelligence” from 30 January to 3 February 2023.
Prof. Karamjeet Singh, Vice-Chancellor, Jagat Guru Nanak Dev Punjab State Open University, Patiala, said, “Artificial Intelligence, the most recent hype in the world of technology, is a catalyst for growth that can transform economy and the future of work. It is essential for researchers and faculty to explore the pedagogical potential of AI.” Emphasizing the role of AI in present times, he added, “ AI is useful for academicians as well as policy makers.”
Sandeep Kour, Associate Director Program Management, Edunet Foundation, said, “ 5-day FDP has introduced participants to types of machine learning, data analysis, text analytics and innovative pedagogical tools.” Kawal Preet Kaur, Associate Program Manager, Edunet and faculty members of JGND PSOU were present during the FDP.
Prof. Gurdip Singh Batra, Dean Academic Affairs, Dr Amitoj Singh, Associate Dean Academic Affairs and Prof Baljit Singh Khera, HOD, also addressed the participants.
180 participants from all over India attended the 5-day program.
