In the case related to the alleged controversial video of Delhi’s former Chief Minister and Leader of the Opposition, Atishi, the Jalandhar court stated that the video circulated by BJP leaders was tampered with and is doctored. Reacting to the court’s order, Aam Aadmi Party Member of Parliament Malvinder Singh Kang launched a scathing attack on the BJP and said that for its petty politics, the BJP does not even hesitate to insult the Sikh Gurus.

Welcoming the Jalandhar court’s decision, AAP MP Malvinder Singh Kang said that from day one, AAP had been saying that the BJP, for its dirty politics, does not shy away from insulting the Sikh Gurus, and today this has been proven.

Kang said, “Today, the Hon’ble Jalandhar court has clearly stated that the video of the statement made by Delhi’s former Chief Minister Atishi in the Delhi Assembly was presented in a distorted manner by BJP leaders, especially Kapil Mishra, on their social media handles, and that the video was tampered with.”

Referring to the BJP’s past, the AAP MP said that this is not the first time the BJP has insulted the Sikh faith. He reminded that earlier too, the BJP had made cartoons of the Tenth Guru and the Sahibzadas.

Malvinder Singh Kang added, “Shri Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib, who made the supreme sacrifice three and a half centuries ago to protect Hinduism and this nation, has also not been spared from insult by the BJP. This is their real face; this is their vile mindset, which we strongly condemn.”

Directly questioning BJP’s Punjab in-charge Sunil Jakhar, the AAP MP said, “Jakhar Sahib, you call yourself a clean and honest leader, will you now apologise?”

Kang also sought answers from Ravneet Singh Bittu, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, and Manjinder Singh Sirsa, asking who will take responsibility for the insult of the Sikh Gurus carried out by leaders like Kapil Mishra.

He said that the court’s verdict proves that the BJP distorted Atishi’s statement purely for its petty political interests and added objectionable words against the Sikh Gurus, which were completely fabricated and fake.
