Janhit Samiti opened Tailoring Training Centre for girls in slum area

Janhit Samiti (Regd.) Patiala opened a new Tailoring Training Centre in Slum Area, Near Rajpura Colony, Patiala. The girls who have left education and are unable to study further due to their family circumstances will impart training to these girls and made them self dependent and even to support their families in the long run.

The inauguration was done by Varinder Singh Tiwana, District Welfare Officer and K.K. Malhotra, District President of congress ubran, Patiala. Vinod Sharma General Secretary of the Janhit Samiti discussed the details of the works done by samiti and told that during the year 2018-2019 samiti spent Rs.45 Lacs on different projects. Tiwana and Malhotra praised the works of the Samiti and motivated the public to become members & donors of the samiti so that they can help the needy ones in a better way.

For this project Sundar Lal donated Rs.10,000/-, B.S. Saini Patron, Dr. Balbir Singh, Rupinder Kaur, Devidner Kaur, Jaswant Singh Punia, Hardeep Kaur, Er. Jai Singh &  Rajinder Grover each donated Rs.2500/- for the project. The General Secretary assured the audiences to help the needy patients and students of the locality. From Janhit Samiti, P.K. Jain, S.S. Chabbra, Jatwinder Grewal, Chaman Lal Garg, Rupinder Kaur, Ravinder Singh Ravi, G.S. Bedi, Advocate Grewal and many other members were present. From “Har Hath Kalam” NGO Harsh Kumar, Ravi Japan, Hariom & P.K. Arora were also presents.

There was a great enthusiasm among the girls of the locality to learn the tailoring with this motto of India Beti Bachao Beti Padhao and Beti ko Strong Banao ka Nara, will be achieved.

In the end B.S. Saini, Patron said that Janhit Samiti was established in 1987 with 11 members only, it has now more than 1600 active members. Later he thanked all the guests and members of the Samiti.
