JGNDPS Open University organizes two day state level workshop on NAAC accreditation awareness at GNDU

Jagat Guru Nanak Dev Punjab State Open University, Patiala organized a two day State Level Workshop at Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar on “NAAC Awareness for Assessment and Accreditation”. Prof. (Dr.) Karamjeet Singh, Vice Chancellor, JGND PSOU, welcomed all the dignitaries and delegates to the workshop. Speaking on the occasion, Vice Chancellor told that JGND PSOU has spearheaded this campaign to spread NAAC awareness across the colleges of Punjab. More than 150 delegates from all Govt. and some Govt. aided colleges from Punjab are going to attend this 2 day state level workshop. On this occasion “THE PSOU TIMES” newsletter of JGND PSOU, was also released.
Rajiv Kumar Gupta, IAS, Director DPI (Colleges), congratulated JGND PSOU for this novel initiative to hold a workshop for faculty members of Govt./ Govt.aided colleges of Punjab so as to understand the NAAC accreditation process.
Dr. Jaspal Singh Sandhu, Vice Chancellor, GNDU, Amritsar highlighted the fact that getting NAAC accreditation for higher education institution is the key to sustain. He further added that workshop like this may be organized in future where participating colleges can be guided to get funds from different funding agencies of India.
Dr. R.C. Kuhad, former, Vice Chancellor, Central University of Haryana was the keynote speaker, shared his precious views on challenges and opportunities for NAAC Accreditation. He shared valuable insights about the NAAC Accreditation and its effects on HEIs. Dr. Ruchi Tripathi, (Assistant Advisor) and Dr. Nilesh Pandey, (Assistant Advisor), NAAC, Bangalore explained in detailed the parameters required for NAAC Accreditation and also handled the queries that came from various NAAC coordinators of colleges.

Dr. Ashwani Bhalla, Deputy Director, DPI (Colleges) gave a detailed presentation on this workshop and expressed Punjab Governments commitment to get all its government colleges accredited in future. Dr.Amitoj Singh, NAAC Coordinator, JGND PSOU, were also present on the occasion.
