Shiromani Akali Dal core committee member and Youth Akali Dal President Sarabjeet Singh Jhinjer, along with his team, met party President Sukhbir Singh Badal today and expressed heartfelt gratitude for reappointing him as the National President of the Youth Akali Dal.

Following the announcement, Jhinjer paid obeisance at Gurdwara Sri Dukhniwaran Sahib in Patiala, thanking Waheguru Ji for the opportunity to serve once again.

Speaking to the media at the party office, Jhinjer said, “First and foremost, I thank Waheguru Ji for blessing me with this responsibility. I am also deeply grateful to Party President Sukhbir Singh Badal for placing his trust in me and reappointing me as the Youth Akali Dal President for a second consecutive term. I also thank the entire party high command for their support.”

He added, “Serving as President of Youth Akali Dal is both an honour and a responsibility I take seriously. The Shiromani Akali Dal has a glorious legacy and remains the true regional voice of Punjab. I will continue to raise the concerns of our youth, speak for the people of Punjab, and hold the government accountable for its failures. I am committed to taking the message of the party to every youngster in the state.”

Highlighting the spiritual foundation of his mission, Jhinjer stated, “As the President of a youth wing born with the blessings of Sri Akal Takhat Sahib Ji, it is my duty to reconnect our youth with Sikh values. Through our ‘Meri Dastaar Meri Shaan’ campaign, we have already organised over 100 turban-tying camps across India, and this movement will continue to grow.”

Outlining his vision for the new term, Jhinjer announced the launch of the second phase of the ‘Punjab Youth Milni’ initiative. “This time, we will connect with our youth not just at the district level but also at the circle and booth levels. As young citizens, it is also our responsibility to protect our environment. Following the guidance of Sri Akal Takhat Sahib, we will actively participate in large-scale plantation drives across Punjab,” he said.

Commenting on the current state government, Jhinjer expressed deep concern: “It is alarming to see how the Aam Aadmi Party has turned Punjab into a police state. Every day, we see disturbing incidents of Punjab Police assaulting innocent citizens without accountability. Meanwhile, with major decisions being dictated from Delhi, Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has completely surrendered to the central leadership, putting Punjab’s interests at stake.”

Our youth will be at the forefront of this mission,” he said.

Concluding his address, Sarabjeet Singh Jhinjer offered a heartfelt prayer:

“I express infinite gratitude to Akal Purakh. May Waheguru bless us with strength, wisdom, and courage to continue the fight for the Panth, Punjab, and Punjabiyat.”
