Kaintal School students participated in Gandhi Global Solar Yatra

“The management of Kaintal School encourage and motivate the students towards protecting the environment. Keeping the same in mind, the students participated in Gandhi Global Solar Yatra(GGSY) which has been planned by the Government of India to promote self-sufficiency in energy for sustainability” said,Rajinder Kaur Virk, Principal Kaintal School, Patiala

She further informed that a Solar Lamp Assembly workshop was organized to celebrate the International Day of non-violence on the occasion of 150th Birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi. Students of Kaintal School who have participated in the workshop will be certified by IIT Bombay as Student Solar Ambassadors.

“Young Kaintalities were thrilled to be a part of this important International event when they got hands- on training as Student Solar Ambassadors (SSAs)” said another teacher.

It is an initial step towards spreading message of non-violence towards environment. The students were enlightened and exposed to alarming factors about increasing environment pollution and global warming.

Kaintal School Principal Rajinder Kaur Virk appreciated the efforts made by the students as solar Ambassadors and encouraged them.
