Elite Club members got together for Mehandi celebrations at Seven Arts Urban Estate. Indian Women fast for their husband’s eternal health and well-being.
On this women’s do the 16 singar to look beautiful including saree, mehndi, jewellery, earring, bangles and many other things. Mehndi called a shubh to martial women without mehndi any ritual program does not considered as a ‘shubh’.
Elite Club President Shelly Kohli said we have been doing the ritual from many years.
Karwa Chauth
Karva is another word for ‘pot’ (a small earthen pot of water) and chauth means ‘fourth’ in Hindi (a reference to the fact that the festival falls on the fourth day of the dark-fortnight, or krishna paksh, of the month of Kartik).The festival originated and came to be celebrated only in the northwestern part of the Indian subcontinent. Karwa Chauth is celebrated almost in every part of India, and is really famous in Northern India.
Women begin preparing for Karva Chauth a few days in advance, by buying cosmetics (shringar), traditional adornments or jewelry, and puja items, such as the Karva lamps, matthi, henna and the decorated puja thali (plate).Local bazaars take on a festive look as shopkeepers put their Karva Chauth related products on display
