Post Graduate Department of Punjabi of Khalsa College, Patiala organised a programme ‘Punjabi Sabhachar da Aantarrashtri Muhandra’ in which Sukhjinder Singh Bath, founder, Punjabi Bhawan, Canada was the chief guest.
Bath while addressing the audience said that Punjab has a very rich culture. Contributions made by the Punjabis in various fields are recognized all over the world. He further added that it is their aim to promote our mother tongue Punjabi for which he will be continuing his efforts in the future too.
Dr. Dharminder Singh Ubha, Principal of the college welcomed the guests and said that Sukhjinder Bath has illuminated the culture of Punjab at an international level. As a social activist, he also helped various Indians trying to assimilate in the foreign land. His contribution in the field of literature is also highly laudable.
Prof. Paramjit Kaur, Head, P.G. Department of Punjabi, also welcomed the guest and said that it is a matter of immense pride for them that Sukhjinder Bath is not only helping in the promotion of culture of Punjab worldwide but also contributing towards the betterment of society by working as a social activist. S. Bath also interacted with the students. Prof. Prabhjot Singh conducted stage on this occasion. Teachers of the department and the students of M.Phil. were present there.
