Dr. Ganda Singh Career Guidance and Counseling Center of GSSDGS Khalsa College Patiala, organized one day training program on “Capital Market Awareness” conducted by professional financial expert and  free lancer trainer, Sumeet Seth, from Bombay Stock Exchange. He is an IRDA certified trainer, working in this field from past 17 years.

Sumeet Seth possesses skills in devising and implementing strategies for ensuring successful management of operations, Sales Training and expansion of business. He is also an expert in interpersonal communication, team building, presentation skills and analytical skills. He has an ample experience in conducting several training programs in renowned bank institutions and corporate industry. He vitaminized the students by providing them the knowledge of long term investment instruments in capital market. He also guided them the ways to earn maximum returns from minimum investments. He explained the students how to deploy savings prudentially by maintaining their value, how to build assets and minimize the liabilities and invest money for leading a rich and successful life. He also made them aware of the important precautionary measures taken while investing in stock market. This way he made them understand the rationale behind buying and selling of the securities rather than relying on hot tips.

Dr. Dharminder Singh Ubha, Principal, Khalsa College, Patiala welcomed the guests and said that it is a matter of honor to have Sumeet Seth in our college for guiding the students in the field of financial investments, to provide diverse exposure to the students. He added that profit is not possible in any work if financial planning is incorrect. The students need to be taught about different financial aspects as they are the future of the nation.  He also said that the college is planning to start short term courses on finance in collaboration with Bombay Stock Exchange.

The Seminar was conducted in two sessions consisting of the under graduate students from BBA, B.Com, B.Com (Accounting and Finance), B.Com Honours and another one for the post graduate students of MBA, MLD and M.Com.

Dr. Jasleen Kaur, Deputy Principal, Khalsa College, Patiala said that such training programs held for the students in the college by cognoscente personalities are of immense value. This training programme would help the students to enhance their knowledge and would help in developing a disciplined behavior concerning money and investment for leading a wealthy life style.
