Lawyers custodial Torture: 4 members SIT constituted by Punjab police

Director of Bureau of Investigation, Punjab has constituted a four member SIT to conduct probe in the Muktsar sahib lawyers custodial case.
Commissioner Ludhiana Police, Mandeep Singh Sidhu will lead the SIT with Harmeet Singh Hundal, DCP (D), Ludhiana, Sohail Qasim Mir IPS, ADCP-2, CP Ludhiana office, Palwinder Singh Cheema, SP Investigation, Sangrur.
An FIR under Sections 377, 342, 323, 149, and 506 of the IPC was registered against six police personnel at Sadar Sri Muktsar Sahib police station late on Monday in a case of alleged torturous attack on an advocate in police custody.The six policemen included Raman Kumar (In-charge CIA Staff), Ramandeep Singh Bhullar (SP Investigation), Senior Constable Harbans Singh, Senior Constable Bhupinder Singh, Constable Gurpreet Singh and Home Guard Dara Singh.
