Legend Fauja Singh to inaugurate Half Marathon on April,1
Janhit Samiti met to finalize the elaborated arrangements for the 6 th Half Marathon being held on 1st April 2018. Reception Committee was constituted including sub committees to make various arrangements
AS Rai, Inspector General Police, Fauja Singh, Veteran Athlete and World Champion, Sanjeev Sharma Bittoo, Mayor Patiala will be among the prominent Guests Inaugurating various events of 21KM, 10KM, 5KM and 2.5KM.
Inauguration and Prize Distribution will be held at Rajindra Gymkhana Club, Baradari Gardens, Patiala. Winners of 21 & 10 KM events will be awarded. Theme of the event will be “Run for Health and Happiness – Beti Pdhao -Beti Khilao. Event Manager P. C Kushwaha will manage the event in a professional manner. Automatic Timing Chips will be used for accurate timings to avoid any lapse. District Administration has extended full cooperation and pickets are being enacted to control traffic and serve water etc. to runners.
SK Gautam ,President, Janhit Samiti told that more than 150 volunteers team of Youth Power House Club are ready to execute hazard free arrangements under the leadership of Vinod Sharma, General Secretary, Janhit Samiti and team of Office Bearers. In the meeting B. S Saini, Dr. Bhagwant Singh, Dr. Grover, Survinder Singh Chhabra, Ravinder Singh, S.N Jindal, Jatwinder Grewal, Rupinder Kaur, Hardeep Singh Harry, G. S. Bedi, Jagtar Singh Jaggi, Wazir Chand Garg and other members finalised the arrangements in a meeting at Prabhat Parvana Trade Union Centre.
