Mahek Jatana of MRSPTU brings laurels- won medals in National Shooting Championship

Mahek Jatana, a student of Giani Zail Singh Campus College of Engineering and Technology, Maharaja Ranjit Singh Punjab Technical University (MRSPTU), Bathinda brought laurels to the institution by winning 2 Silver and 2 Bronze medals at 64th National Shooting Championship (Rifle) 2021 held in Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh) recently.
Mahek Jatana bagged two Silver medals in 50 meter Junior Civilian category and Senior Civilian category at the championship being held in MP Shooting Academy. Similarly, she won two bronze medals in 50 meter prone in senior category as well as junior category and bagged 3rd position in the event.
Mahek Jatana is a final year student of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE -2K18 batch) at Giani Zail Singh Campus College of Engineering and Technology.
MRSPTU, Vice Chancellor, Prof. Buta Singh Sidhu, Registrar, Dr. Gurinder Pal Singh Brar, Campus Director, Dr. Ashok Goel, Director Sports and Youth Welfare, Dr. Bhupinder Pal Singh Dhot and CSE department faculty congratulated Mahek Jatana for her excellent performance. They also wished her parents and coach for the achievement.
Dr. Dhot added that the university will give a warm welcome to Mahek Jatana and soon organize a programme to facilitate her at a function in the university.
Mahek is trained by her coaches Gurpal Singh and Veerpal Kaur. Her parents Dr. Sukhjit Singh Jatana and Dr. Indrani Jatana worked very hard and provided all support to achieve at National level.
