Maiden Book Exhibition organized by Open University; Guru Tegh Bahadur Library is integral to JGND PSOU”: VC

In commemoration of 350th martyrdom year of Guru Tegh Bahadur, Jagat Guru Nanak Dev Punjab State Open University, Patiala organized its maiden Book Exhibition.
The exhibition facilitated reviewing and recommendation of books for Guru Tegh Bahadur Library. It also provided a platform for acquiring information about recent publications in various disciplines.
Prof. Rattan Singh, Vice-Chancellor, inaugurated Guru Tegh Bahadur Library of the university. Speaking on the occasion, Prof. Rattan Singh said, “Jagat Guru Nanak Dev Punjab State Open University has successfully joined One Nation One Subscription (ONOS).
This Govt. of India approved INFLIBNET initiative will strategically enhance seamless access to a vast array of national and international e-resources. Students, faculty and researchers of the university will be highly benefitted.” “The library, a great store-house of knowledge, is integral to the university and is the most valuable asset that students and faculty can have. It will greatly promote reading habits,” he added. Members of Library Advisory Committee, faculty and students from Learner Support Centres were in attendance of the event.
