Major tragedy averted at Mumbai airport after two planes scrape wings

In an unusual incident at Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport an Air India and an IndiGo aircraft collided on the ground, with passengers on board.
The incident involved Air India flight AI2732, bound for Coimbatore, and IndiGo flight 6E791, arriving from Hyderabad.
As per initial reports, the right wing tips of both aircraft touched each other while they were taxiing.

The IndiGo aircraft had landed and was taxiing, while the Air India aircraft was waiting on the taxiway prior to departure. IndiGo said the wingtip of its aircraft came in contact with another airline’s aircraft while taxiing after landing.
As per reports, no injuries have been reported, and all passengers were safely disembarked. The director general of civil aviation (DGCA) has launched an investigation into the incident, asking both airlines to submit their reports.
