Mata Gujri College Celebrates Teej Festival
Fatehgarh Sahib-Teej festival today celebrated in the premises of Mata Gujri College with great culture and aesthetic gaiety. Dr. Harminder Sodhi, CMO, Fatehgarh Sahib was the chief guest and Tarwinderjit Kaur was the special guest of the day.
The function organized by college started with a welcome address by Director Principal Dr. Kashmir Singh, who highlighted the importance of the day besides giving a warm welcome to the guests of the day.
Dr.Harminder Sodhi addressed the students and inspired them to preserve their rich culture and heritage.
Girls wearing traditional and vibrant color dresses splashing the college campus with multicolored rainbow hues performed Punjabi traditional dance. Various competitions like swing, mehndi, kikli, preparing gulgule, malpude were also organised on this occasion, in which the students participated with great zeal and zest.
Saman Kaur was graced with the title of Miss Teej. Amanpreet Kaur and Sandeep Kaur were declared Ist and 2nd Runner Up respectively.
Swaranjit Kaur, Karamjit Kaur, Satinder Kaur, Sukhwinder Kaur, Jaspreet Kaur, Kuldeep Kaur, Ravinder Kaur, Rajwant Kaur, Sulakshna, Balveer Kaur and Principal Ramanjeet Kaur graced the occasion with their presence.
