Mata Gujri College celebrates World Wetland Day
To aware students about environment and for overall development, Mata Gujri College celebrated world wetland day very enthusiastically. This day is celebrated every year in the 1st week of February. Zoology department of the college organized special lecture in the importance of this day in which students participated with great fervour.
On this occasion, Director Principal Dr. Kashmir Singh admired this step of Zoology department and said,” This is great effort to aware students about humanity and origin of earth. It is our moral duty to keep this environment clean. We all should keep our surroundings clean.”
In this special lecture, Head of the department Prof. Pardeep Kaur informed students and said,” To aware students about this topic, we have arranged special visits and along with, students will be informed about migrated birds.”
On this occasion, Assistant Prof. Dr. Harpreet Kaur delivered detailed information to students about the importance of wetland day and need of taking care of Ramsar Convention Wetland and other subjects. On this occasion, Dr. Tejinder Singh, Dr. Naina Khullar, Dr. Anu, Prof. Harjot Kaur, other staff members and students were also present.
