Mata Gujri College’s NCC cadets bought laurels

Mata Gujri College participated in first Satluj Half Marathon organized by Global Peddlers at Anandpur Sahib dedicated to the 550th birth anniversary of Shri Guru Nanak Dev Ji. The route of marathon was on the bank of Satluj river.
Cadet Jaspreet Singh of Mata Gujri College secured 1st place in 3km race. Cadet Chamkaur Singh and Cadet Gursimran Singh got 2nd and 3rd position respectively in 5km race. Former Education Minister of Punjab Dr. Daljit Singh Cheema arrived as the chief guest of this event and distributed prizes to the winners.
Director Principal of the college, Dr. Kashmir Singh congratulated to the students and said, “To serve the country, it is necessary for the NCC cadets to stay physically and mentally fit. Where marathon makes the physically stronger there it also enriches their mind to take better decisions in tough times.”
Dr. Amritpal Singh, Incharge NCC unit and ANO Lieutenant, said, Mata Gujri College’s NCC cadets bought laurels and “all the credit of this achievement goes to the hard work of NCC cadets.”
