“Matlab”-Mathematics Department, Punjabi university Patiala celebrates International Mother Tongue Day

On Tuesday, 21st February, 2023, Department of Mathematics, Punjabi University, Patiala organised an expert talk on “Matlab: Introductory Concepts to Mathematical Modelling” in Punjabi Language.
Prof. Vijay Kumar Kukreja, the head of the department of Mathematics Institute of Engineering & Sant Longowal Institute of Engineering & Technology (SLIET) Longowal, was the Resource Person for the expert talk.
The Head of the department of Mathematics, Prof. Praveen Lata welcomed the audience and felicitated the guest. The Coordinator of the event Dr. Shelly Arora introduced the guest. The Expert Prof. Kukreja enlightened the participants by introducing the concepts of Matlab for Mathematical Modeling and the career opportunities available for Mathematicians in Flipkart, IBM, Infosys and other Multinational Companies to work as data scientists and as experts of quantitative Techniques.
The faculty from the department, Dr. Mukhdeep Singh Manshahia assisted in digital outreach and overall publicity of the event.
Prof. Rakesh Kumar , Dr. Arjan Singh and Dr Garima gave momento to the resource person.
The event was attended by students of Undergraduate to Research Scholars and the faculty members of Mathematics and Statistics.
