Municipal Corporations, Councils, Nagar Panchayats elections, bye-elections : Punjab govt issues notification

Punjab government has issued the notification of elections, bye-elections of Municipal Corporations, MCs, Nagar Panchayats.
The local bodies department has issued notification to hold elections in 5 municipal corporations namely Patiala, Amritsar, Ludhiana, Jalandhar, Phagwara and bye-elections in few wards of MC Bathinda, Batala, Abohar, Hoshiarpur.
Along with these, the department has asked the state election commission to hold elections in 44 municipal councils and certain wards of 43 municipal councils.
