Municipal Corporation Patiala is going to start Swatch Abihyaan to clean Patiala under SWACHH PATIALA.
The Royal City of Chief Minister Punjab Capt Amarinder Singh was listed among dirtiest cities in 2017 survey. Out of 468 surveyed Patiala rank was 411th in 2017. Out of 14 cities and towns of Punjab covered under Union Ministry’s survey, Patiala ranked fourth last amongst worst performers. Batala, Abohar and Muktsar ranked 418, 427 and 428 in 2017 survey.
This year the focus of the Municipal Corporation, District Administration is to make Patiala Swachh and got better ranking in 2018 Swatchta Abhiyan and is all set to adopt Union Minitry’s bylaws regarding the sanitation and cleanliness drive.
Municipal Corporation Patiala along with NGO’s, NSS volunteer is going to start a Safai Campaign from Sunday 14, 2018 to make Patiala Swachh. Under this programme, Deputy Commissioner Patiala Kumar Amit will flag off this campaign at NIS Chowk , Ankur Mohindru Joint Commissioner Municipal Corporation Patiala will lead the team at NIS chowk. Similarly at Fountain Chowk MM Syal, Executive Enigneer Municipal Corporation Patiala will lead the team. At Thapar College Municipal Corporation Patiala Health officer Sudesh Partap Singh, at Patiala Railway Station, SDM Patiala Anmol , at Sirhind Road Byepass to Focal Point Chief Sanitary Inspector of Municipal Corporation Patiala Bhagwant Singh will lead the team of volunteers, NGO’s to make Patiala Swachh. A Municipal Corporation Patiala Sanitary Inspector will also be available along with these teams .
