Medical Fraternity Donates Blood for Thalassemic Children

Medical Fraternity comes forward at time of need in COVID pandemic.

Due to third wave at its peak, Blood Bank, Rajindra Hospital, Patiala is running short of blood affecting the Thalassemic Children who require blood on regular basis. In this hour of need, the Medical Fraternity joined hands and organised an Emergency Blood Donation Camp at Blood Bank, Rajindra Hospital, Patiala. Indian Medical Association (IMA) Patiala, Indian Dental Association (IDA), Punjab state Medical and Dental teachers association (PSMDTA) and Punjab Medical Representative Association (PMRA) and various NGOs of the region participated for this noble cause. The camp was Inaugurated by Director Principal, Rajindra Hospital, Dr Harjinder Singh.

Medical Superintendent, Dr. Harnam Singh Rekhi also graced the occasion. IMA President, Dr. Ajata Shatru Kapoor and Secretary Dr. Harsimran Singh told that IMA Patiala will organise such camps on regular basis. PSMDTA secretary Dr. Darshanjit Walia told that PSMDTA President, Dr DS Bhullar donated Blood for the 60th time today. IDA President, Dr. Priyanka Sharma and Secretary, Dr Anshuman kharbanda assured that their members will work unitedly with the Medical Fraternity for various social activities. The young and dynamic members of PMRA donated blood and helped in organising this Camp. Senior Faculty Members and Eminent Senior Doctors of Patiala contributed to the success of the Blood Donation Camp.
