Meri Maati Mera Desh program oraganised by NSS unit of Govt Bikram College

The NSS unit of Government Bikram College of Commerce, Patiala organised a program ‘Meri Maati Mera Desh ‘as a part of the program launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the occasion of 77th Independence Day to dedicate the day to our freedom fighters and to honour the Armed forces that put their lives to risk in order to save the people of Nation.
The program was organised under the guidance of College Principal Prof (Dr.) Kusum Lata. The program is marked to honour the Army personnel invited from 601 EME Battalion.
The College Principal, staff members and NSS volunteers welcomed the guests and honoured them. Floral Tributes were paid to the freedom fighters. The students prepared posters related to the occasion and also gave speeches to instill a sense of National Pride. The speaker from among the guests inspired the students to save the Mother Earth by planting trees as plantation drives are a part of the program launched on 15th August by our Prime Minister. The students prepared Rangoli depicting the occasion.
A Rally was flagged off by the College Principal from the college gate that moved in nearby areas. The Students in the Rally carried Tri Colour flags in their hands. The program was coordinated by NSS Program officers Satinder Kaur and Harsimran Kaur. Dr.Vaneeta Rani presented a Vote of Thanks.
Meri Maati Mera Desh program oraganised by NSS unit of Govt Bikram College. The others present on the occasion were Dr Paramjit, Dr.Jyoti, Dr .Rekha , Sukhbir Kaur and members of teaching and non -teaching staff.
