Meritorious Commerce students honoured by Patiala Chapter of The Institute of Cost Accountants of India

The Institute of Cost Accountants of India – Patiala Chapter organized its Annual Prize Distribution Ceremony to honour meritorious commerce students from various colleges and educational institutions of the region. The event aimed to recognize academic excellence and encourage students to pursue professional careers in the field of commerce and finance.
The ceremony was graced by Chief Guest CMA M. K. Anand, Central Council Member of The Institute of Cost Accountants of India, and Guest of Honour Tejinder Mehta, Chairman, Planning Board, Patiala. Their presence added great inspiration and motivation for the students and academic fraternity.
Addressing the gathering, CMA M. K. Anand highlighted the growing importance of the Cost and Management Accountancy (CMA) profession in today’s corporate environment and encouraged students to take up professional courses that contribute significantly to financial management, strategic decision-making, and corporate governance.
Tejinder Mehta appreciated the initiative of the Patiala Chapter in promoting commerce education and motivating students through such recognition programmes. He emphasized that such initiatives play an important role in guiding youth towards professional excellence and nation building.
Welcoming the dignitaries, Chairman CMA Naveen Mittal highlighted the various initiatives undertaken by the Patiala Chapter for the promotion of commerce education, including seminars, professional awareness programmes, and student activities such as Commerce Talent Hunt.

On this occasion, Vice Chairperson CMA Reema Arya and Secretary CMA Jaswinder Singh also addressed the gathering and appreciated the participation of colleges and students in the activities organized by the Chapter. They reiterated the Chapter’s commitment to continue organizing academic and professional development programmes for students and members.
During the ceremony, trophies, certificates, and fee concessions were awarded to college toppers and meritorious students. Certificates of participation were also distributed to encourage wider participation among students.
The event was attended by members of the Managing Committee of the Patiala Chapter, faculty members from various colleges, students, and members of the professional fraternity. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks expressing gratitude to all dignitaries, institutions, and participants for making the event a great success.
