Messaging to a girl prove costly to 23 years murdered boy; Patiala police arrests five accused

Acting swiftly after a daylight murder in a local Ablowal locality in Patiala on September 6,2024, of which a video of the incident went viral on the social media,  Patiala police have arrested five suspects for brutally assaulting and killing 23 year old Karan.

SSP Patiala Nanak Singh while addressing the mediapersons said “the deceased, a 23-year-old Karan resident of House No. 10 D, Street No. 4/2 Babu Singh Colony Patiala was brutally assaulted and stabbed multiple times after being dragged off a running motorcycle in the Ablowal market area on September 6,2024, when he was going towards his residence. The police  have arrested “Anshved of Haji Majra village, Amaneet of Gaushala Road, Yuvraj of Kahlwan village and Tarnkarpal of Guru Nanak Nagar along with a juvenile,” said the SSP. “The weapon used in the crime has been identified,” he stated.

Divulging further, SSP Nanak Singh said “Anshved nursed a grudge against Karan as he was in touch with a girl, whom the accused had objected to it. To give a lesson, Anshved planned the murder with his friends” .

“After the murderous attack, the injured victim was taken to Rajindra Hospital where he succumbed to injuries due to excessive blood loss at the Rajindra Hospital on the same evening” said the police officials.

Messaging to a girl prove costly to 23 years murdered boy; Patiala police arrests five accused. One of those nabbed for the crime is a juvenile, while the other four have criminal background’ said SSP Nanak Singh.

The police has also recovered the weapon, motorcycle used in the crime. Out of arrested five, two accused 19 years old, one is 20 years old and one is 21 years old  and one is juvenile (means minor, less than 18 years old).
