Department of Journalism & Mass Communication of Mata Gujri College organizes Caption Writing Contest to impart the qualities to write effectively and precisely among the students.
The students of the department participated in this contest with great enthusiasm. Mr. Gagandeep Singh of BA(JMC) I bagged first position while Mr. Tejinder Singh of BA(JMC) II stood second. Mr. Lokesh Bhardwaj of BA(JMC) III and Ms. Muskan Rai Syal of BA(JMC) I won third prize.
Director Principal Dr. Jatinder Singh Sidhu congratulated the participants of Journalism department who participated in Caption writing contest and encouraged them to read the literature in order to write efficiently.
Prof. Reena Kaur Dhillon, Head, Department of Journalism & Mass Communication said, “Captioning photos is an important part of Journalism. An important aspect of caption competition is to look at an object, event or issue from unusual point of view.”
On this occasion, she also extended her warm wishes to Mr. Anmol Bali, student of BA(JMC) II who write Features, poems for various newspapers and inspired him to write regularly.
On this occasion, Prof. Dilraj Singh, Prof. Kriti Talwar, Prof. Sukhdev Singh, Prof. Suman Sharma, Prof. Kamaljeet Kaur and students were present.
