MHA issue guidelines to states for prisoners, jail staff mental health

Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) in association with National Institute of Mental Health and Neurosciences (NIMHANS) Banglore has issued a guideline to the states, UT’s to “address the mental health issues of inmates and staff in Prisons and Correctional facilities during Covid 19”.
The ministry has prepared a handbook-one for the jail inmates and one for the jail staff and asked the state to translate them in local languages, for better understanding and maximum reach.
