Middle ranked GoI officer, DGP Punjab met ailing farmer leader Dallewal

Today, a director level officer in the ministry of home affairs Mayank Mishra has come to meet ailing farmer leader Jagjit Singh Dallewal, who is in fast unto death at Khanauri border in Sangrur district.
DGP Gaurav Yadav along with Patiala divisional commissioner DS Mangat, DIG Patiala range Mandeep Singh Sidhu, SSP Patiala Nanak Singh also met the farmer leader Jagjeet Singh Dallewal along with the MHA, Director Mayank Mishra.
Speculations were rife in the morning at Khanauri border that some senior level officer, representing the central govt might come today to meet the fasting farm leader Jagjit Singh Dallewal. But, a middle ranked Mayank Mishra , who is a 2009 batch IRS (Income Tax) officer who is on central deputation and working as Director, (security desk), Internal Security (IS-I) under in MHA came to meet the ailing leader. At present 2009 IPS batch officer in Punjab are posted as DIG in Punjab police.
The officers met the ailing Dallewal who is on fast for the last around three weeks and persuade him to break his fast.
The Supreme Court has urged the central and state governments to convince Dallewal to break his fast unto death as he is a senior citizen, having health issue and a prominent kisan leader.
After meeting the ailing Dalewal, DGP said in a brief press meeting that he along with Mishra has requested Dallewal to break his fast as his life is important for all of us.
