Punjab Rural Development and Panchayat Minister Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal on Monday thanked the family for giving up illegal possession of about 43 acres land of Forest Department recently.

Minister, who visited the village, expressed gratitude to the family on behalf of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann by giving wheat grains to Mata Parminder Kaur in the traditional way.

The Minister said, “As a goodwill gesture to family, who had relinquish the land to rise government’s revenue, he brought wheat grains for the family to pray for the increase in the family’s income. ”

After this, Kuldeep Dhaliwal also visited the land from where decades old encroachment has also been freed from encroachment.

Talking to reporters here, Minister said that the drive to remove illegal encroachments on panchayat lands has received a huge response across the state.

He pointed out that some encroachments on government land were due to the negligence of the authorities, could not be removed but now all encroachments will be removed due to the strong will power of chief minister Bhagwant Mann’s government.

Replying to a question on the development of the villages, the Panchayat Minister said that there are two major problems in the villages, the first is of clean drinking water and the other is the discharge of waste water. He pointed out that both these problems will be solved in a very good way by his government.

Kuldip Dhaliwal added that earlier funds were spent in a spontaneous manner without planning but the government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has taken historic decisions under which development works of villages will be carried out by making complete designs so that people can remember them for centuries.
