Mission Fateh- MRSPTU running awareness campaign to prevent spread of Coronavirus

Maharaja Ranjit Singh Punjab Technical University (MRSPTU) has launched a special campaign to aware and protect the general public from the Coronairus.
As part of the campaign, the staff and students of the university and colleges under the university are conducting door-to-door awareness campaign and distributing free of cost hand sanitizers and face masks to the needy people.
Sharing this information, University Vice Chancellor, Prof. Mohan Paul Singh Ishar said the work is being done under the Mission Fateh of Punjab government to defeat Coronavirus.
Assistant Professor of the University and N.S. S. Coordinator Dr. Meenu said that so far 17 liters of sanitizer has been prepared by the university and distributed to the staff, canteen workers and needy people.
In addition to this, the staff of the colleges running under the university is also encouraging the general public to take necessary precautions to prevent the spread of virus. Apart from this Punjab Institute of Technology College Nandgarh (Bathinda) has also distributed free mask to more than 1000 needy people besides sensitizing the general public about the safety from Coronavirus.
Dr. Meenu further said that during COVID – 19, the University also conducted a slogan and poster competition to aware the people about necessary steps as the prevention of Coronavirus, in which more than 100 persons from other states besides Punjab participated.
The first three winners of these competitions were also honored by the University with letters of commendation.
Dr. Meenu also informed that with the support of Prof. Savina Bansal, Director, Giani Zail Singh Campus College and other staff of the University, various awareness competitions were being organized under Mission Fateh.
“Earlier, online slogan and poster competitions were conducted in which 60 persons registered and participated. After the judgment of these competitions, the winners will also be honored by the University with letters of appreciation,”she said.
