MLA Dinesh Chadha hosts lunch in honour of meritorious students

Rupnagar MLA advocate Dinesh Chadha on Monday hosted a lunch at Indian Institute of Technology(IIT),Ropar in honour of the meritorious students ,who have excelled in Class X and XII exams, attended by the principals, teachers and parents of the students. Deputy Commissioner Dr. Preeti Yadav, Nisha Chadha and IIT Dean Prof. Naveen Kumar and Prof. Rajinder Kumar were also specially present.
Speaking on the occasion, advocate Dinesh Chadha said that this programme was organised to motivate the children,who were placed in merit list,so that these children from ordinary families could be informed about the various modern engineering courses running in the IIT
He said that children belonging to ordinary families have no shortage of skills, they just need proper guidance and positive guidance. Their self-confidence needs to be boosted so that they can reach even higher levels in the future.
Chadha assured that the Punjab Government was making continuous efforts to raise the standard of education in the state. He said that if any student in the district was facing any financial problem in his education he should contact them after which the needy students would be assisted at every level.
He said that he was confident that the bright future of the needy students of the district would be secured by providing financial assistance to them in collaboration with the social workers of our area.
