Mockery-CBSE does not update itself

Though Manoj Ahuja , IAS of 1990 batch of Orissa cadre joined as chairman of  Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), a national level board of education in India for public and private schools, controlled and managed by Union Government of India on May, 20,2020, still former chairperson of CBSE, Anita Karwal ‘s( IAS) message is being  displayed on CBSE official website, along with the HRD Minister’s message and PM Narendra Modi’s message.

This major blunder, not updating own website, by one of largest education board, where approximately 20,299 schools in India and 220 schools in 28 foreign countries are affiliated with it, doubts at the working of the board.

“New Chairman has taken over the reign from his predecessor and still after 15 days, Anita Karwal IAS is shown as CBSE chairperson , is a major gaffe on the part of the board and it gives the wrong message to the school management, principals, teachers,  parents, students and others who are visiting CBSE website for taking all kind of updates-be it exams, be it Covid 19 related advisories, be it guidelines , instructions” said a parent, whose wards are appearing in  this year’s board examination.

Another parent said” website of any organization, institute is the mouthpiece of that department and if they fail to update it timely basis and not able to give the right information, then what is the use of it and if the department fails to upload its chairman’s message, anybody can imagine the working of that organisation”

Present incumbent Manoj Ahuja (IAS) holds B.E (Mechanical) from Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology,Patiala and MBA from Punjab University, Chandigarh and Masters in Public Administration (International Development) from Havard University, USA.Earlier he was posted as Special Director, Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration, Department of Personnel and Training.
