Modern School Dominates Zonal Basketball with Double Victory

Modern Senior Secondary School, Patiala, has brought laurels to the city with remarkable victories in the recently concluded Zonal Basketball Tournaments. The Under-14 Boys’ Basketball Team secured the Gold Medal in the tournament held from August 21 to 24 at Government Multipurpose Senior Secondary School. Competing against ten strong teams, the boys displayed exceptional skill, teamwork, and determination to lift the coveted trophy. Sri Guru Teg Bahadur Public School bagged the second position while Government Senior Secondary School, Tripuri, finished third. Adding further pride, four players of Modern School – Ishavneet Singh, Kanwar Ekamjot, Sameer Nasra, and Jaskirat Singh, have been selected to represent the zone in the upcoming District-level Basketball Tournament.
The Under-14 Girls’ Basketball Team of the school also performed commendably, winning the Bronze Medal in the tournament held on August 19 and 20, where eight competitive teams participated. From this team, Jasreet Kaur and Mehak Sidhu have earned a place in the District team, continuing the school’s tradition of sporting excellence.
