Modern School won Best Delegation, Vivek High School won Best Team Effort award in YPS MUN 2022

The 3 days of intense debating and discussion of 3rd Edition of YPS MUN 2022 concluded today. The closing ceremony of the conference was held in Captain Amarinder Singh Auditorium of the school. The ceremony witnessed around 500 attendees which included all the esteemed guests, teachers and student delegates.
The event commenced with the arrival of the Chief guest, Mani Shankar Aiyar, former member Parliament of Rajya Sabha. The august gathering included YPS Chairman, Raja Malvinder Singh, Kanwalvir Singh Kang, YPS Board member, Jai Singh Gill, YPS Board member, Col R.P.S. Brar, President AYOSA, Prof. (Dr.) G.S. Bajpai, Vice Chancellor, Rajiv Gandhi National University Of law, Harshit Narang, Assistant Director, Press Information Bureau, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Satvir Singh Atwal, PPS and distinguished guests from AYOSA.
During the conference, the delegates debated over measures to counter terrorism in the Middle East in UNGA committee, Colonisation of Mars and allocation of resources in UNCOPUS, discussing the plan of action for advancement of women in OIC and many more serious International issues. The delegates of LA CASA DE PAPEL (Money Heist) were taken by surprise when a crisis was introduced in their committee. It was to gauge their presence of mind and intelligence and how efficiently they handle the emergency.
MUN provides a wide platform to the students to engage themselves in International discussions and develop their leadership potential. It provides an excellent opportunity to understand the concerns of different countries and gain knowledge about the world.
The chief guest appreciated the efforts of students and staff for putting up a great show. The other highlights of the programme included MUN report, cultural presentation by school students and the closing video of the event. The best delegation award was bagged by The Modern School, Barakhamba Road, New Delhi ,Vivek High School, Chandigarh won the Best Team Effort award.
